The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has warned Chrome users to update their browsers on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
What They Said: The note encourages users and system administrators to review the Chrome release notes (80.0.3987.116) and update the browser software right away.
The Big Picture: Chances are your Chrome browser has updated itself. It’s easy to check, though, via the More (three dot) menu in the upper right corner of the browser window, under the Help/About Google Chrome item.

Behind the Scenes: Google’s release notes specify five security updates addressed by the update. The CISA announcement notes that one of them “addresses vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit to take control of an affected system.”
